FS: HKS Rep. (X02) with Magnaflow X-pipe
I don't see anything wrong with the way he has the x pipe in, before the x pipe there's the extra piping and I suppose a slight cross over that I honestly doubt really does anything. I believe by placing the x pipe as far back as it is it helps increase some power, if you look at MD xyz pipe the cross is far back as well. Then the piping behind his x pipe is extensions for G35.
Yeah, I'm not saying anything about the placement, its good placement, it gets rid of those resonators, which I believe to be the main cause of this exhaust being raspy but its also meant to replace the h pipe, which is what that cross pipe is right at the base of the "y" so when you do this mod you should be cutting that h and welding it shut, I don't know much on how it would function but I doubt having both is a good thing or else there would be exhausts with both, and there isn't.
I did something similar to my old X02 setup, but I had a un-resonated X-Pipe replacing the H-Pipe and it completely transformed the sound. It quieted down substantially and removed the drone. That's not to say its quiet... it was far from quiet but, still very pleasing.
Yeah well like you said, you removed the h pipe, this guy left the h pipe in, this will probably kill any power you may have gained from going x pipe, and may actually hinder performance more.
Hmm the main 2 pipes that had the H pipe in the middle was removed. Never noticed the secondary pipe but it is minimal as that piping is not long or big. It can be removed though and have extra pipes welded to replace the length or else the exhaust system will sit further inside the car and will affect fitment.
As far as performance lost, I am not sure but it shouldn't be anything dramatic, if any.

I'm not saying it will affect performance but it might, obviously not a drastic amount since exhaust isn't a big gain anyways.
And the "pipe" between the resonators as far as I've noticed isn't a pipe but more of a brace, the true h pipe would be the one at the y...
And yes it really does help the sound, a lot, from clips that I've heard there no, to almost no rasp, I'm sure the setup is fine but personally I'd want it done right and have either an x pipe or a y pipe, not both, but that's just me, to each there own, im not trying to bag on your stuff, I really hope you don't take it personal just trying to be clear for buyers so they know what they are getting.
Like I've said, I'm sure this is a good exhaust, for the money for someone that's on a tight budget, just don't expect good gains, I felt some gains, but from the drag you creat you lose those gains in real world conditions, on a dyno you may find a couple hp / tq.
