Its definatly hard to match silver and pearl white, even Inifniti couldnt do it with there factoroy body kit for the G35 Sedan. My side skirts on my G35 sedan depending on light, look almost like a perfect match and other times looks completly grey compared with the rest of the car, its a weird thing....

I feel your pain....I've had my entire car painted to get everything to match. The metallic is extremely hard to lay down evenly.
