I have lambo doors, but not on my Z.
1996 BMW M3. And woah, YES they were a ***** to install.
Decah kit, the car was in the shop for 3 months. the entire pillar had to be rebuilt to bolt the hinges onto it.
Don't worry though, 350Z is much easier to install these on then the M3. It just so happens that BMW doors weigh like 100+lbs each. What a nightmare that was, but man, they look good now

Check out this site to see how far up Lamborghini doors go.
www.lambocars.com
Click on production overview
Click on a car, ie. Countach, Diablo, Mucielago
then click image gallery
I have a Vertical Doors, Inc. kit on my Z now and their is plenty of room to get in and out.

Install is very time consuming and you should definitely be a good wrench. What takes the longest is all the fine adjustments to get everything to line up right.
Vertical Doors, Inc. says 2 hours to install, maybe if you have done it a few times other wise, no way.
Oh and it is not for the faint at heart as you need to take a set of tin snips to the inside of your front fenders to roll them.
I think it is well worth the effort. They look hot. I really like them.

i got em on my z and luv em... did the install myself with a friend, pain in the ***....not oo too difficult just very time consuming, like said before the adjusting of the hinge and oor on the hinge is where all the time is. And man was i nervous cuttin into those fenders, i did that myself also, the end result though is awesome!!! All together it ook me and a friend about 4 nights to do it, after work each night. I got he vertical doors kit and closing the door u need to be a little more careful but u get used to it real fast.
