i agreee, the pieces should be offered seperately to individuals who want to install them themselves. i too would purchase the interior light pieces if the purchase price is reasonable....

Hey pyro i agree with what your saying but if you see the car when its done you might have a change of mind. I'm glad everyone is interested though. I will have pricing for just the inside for all the do it yourself guys/gals on the forum, and I will also offer pricing if you don't want to risk the headlights and don't want to try and mess with your's. That way everyone who wants these headlights can get them. Also in the process of getting cf door handles and some other interior pieces.

I THINK THESE HEADLIGHTS LOOK AWESOME, VERY BIG FAN OF YOUR DESIGN...YOU'VE GOT TALENT AS WELL AS STYLE. I AM INTERESTED IN A SET FOR MYSELF BUT IN THE MEANTIME, CAN YOU GIVE ME ANY HELP AS TO HOW TO DISASSEMBLE THE HEADLIGHT??? I REMOVED THE 5 SCREWS ON THE BACKSIDE BUT THERE IS STILL THAT BLACK ADHESIVE(LOOKS LIKE 3M STRIP-CAULK) THAT HOLDS THE 2 PIECES OF THE HEADLIGHT TOGETHER. I TRIED A HAIR DRYER BUT DIDN'T WANT TO PRY TOO HARD AND HAD NO LUCK. WHAT IM ACUTALLY TRYING TO DO IS REMOVE THE CLEAR HEADLIGHT FACE SO I CAN REMOVE THE AMBER PARK LAMP LENS. ANY IDEAS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANKS

 

heres the best part..... get a piece of cardboard, soak it in cool water, pre heat your oven to about 300-350 degrees, then put the cool cardboard on the bottom shelf. After that place one headlight assembly into your oven, cook them for about 5-7 minutes (after 5 i would pull it out and try to pry it open). as for prying it: the safest way without damaging the headlight is to try and get 2 strong people and pull them to seperate. if not you can try to use maybe a flat head type of tool to pry it but you must be careful not to damage the seal or over bend it because this will making the re-seal bad. Hope that helps all the people who want to try it. My first impression was yea its easy i can do it but my first pair of headlights didnt work out to well. i think i paid about $300 per paid non-hid for my new ones. i tried again knowing my mistakes and wah lah... perfection. pricing comming soon tonight

thanks a lot for the instructions, i made my attempt(i put mine in the oven at 200 degrees for about 8 minutes) and although at first it was kinda tricky gettin the 2 housings to seperate, they turned out great and re-assembly went well too...re-heated and sealed it back together and then used clear silicone adhesive to make sure the housing was completely sealed to avoid all condensation). thanx again...

 

heres a trick :if you start to see that the headlights are getting foggy and water builds up.... get a drill and tap 3 small holes under the housing where you wont see it... this ensures that if for any reason you didnt seal the housing correctly water will drain out and it will let air circulate so it doesnt fog up. i was suppossed to have pricing up today but unfortunatly I don't. Im trying to see if I can get a better price for a group buy. Also here's another question: Would anyone be interested in colored carbon fiber? i will post prices as soon as I can sorry guys.

o.k. guys sorry about being late with the pricing. I know everyone's waiting to jump on these so here goes. The headlight housing has 3 parts that need to be made in cf. Theres a top chrome piece which sits above the light bulb, there is the chrome piece that goes all the way around the headlight housing, and then theres the orange strip.

The top piece- $50 per side
The chrome piece that goes around the whole headlight- $75 per side
The orange strip part-$25 per side

Thats for each side. So for a total for both headlights if we get a group of more than 10 people we are looking at $300. And for those who are interested in someone installing them, I can do the install for you after the pieces come in for $125 shipped back to you.

So to re-cap $300 for all the pieces and self-install.
$425 If you don't want to deal with the hassle of installing it.
I can also say that anyone who purchases these will get their own individual deal on a choice of the next carbon fiber item I can get made for us.

I have one set being made right now and it should be done sometime next week.As soon as I get that in, I can send those to someone. As I stated before I need everyone's headlight pieces. So if you are going to take your headlight's apart, be ready to send them in, along with a payment. The only way I think I can do this is one person at a time. So I'm going to start a list right now and the people on the list who reply and send a payment will have them first. Basically First com First serve. You can paypal me a payment or send a check or money order whatever is more convenient(pm me for my paypal address and mailing address). But the people that pay first will get them first.

So you are making the amber strip in carbon fiber as well? will light shine through it? (or did I mis-read you?)
Any better pics of the pieces by themselves? The reflector for the turn signal is also covered in carbon fiber correct?
