alrite. here is the answer.

$380 doesn't matter how many since they will have to perform the same labor. You will send your part directly to the body shop and they will ship back for you for about $10 (that what the owner told me)

I paid $500 for mine so i think this price is good. Here is the body shop info:

The Works Auto Body
1640 Grant St
Santa Clara, CA 95050
408-748-1367

Onwer name: Chris DeBruine

Tell him that Alex with the 350Z Roadster refer and got the quote price at $380. If you can ask him to give you a bit more discount then that is great. Good luck to all of you.

yes. This is the same shop that paint for my center console and many other parts.

Turn around time: 2-3 days You don't want rush on this kind of job. If you guys have any question, call the shop directly and talk to Chris.

Just to let everyone know the sanding is the big time labor on this project. Painting is quick since it is one color.

I'm currently working on mine and it is taking hours of time. So I'm guessing if you want to save a ton on money you can sand it yourself.

Just FYI.

question-- you know those little brackets around the main console piece that we are talking about?? The pieces where the knee pads go? Hold on let me get a picture of what I am talking about... it will be much easier...
Okay, I mean the whole console piece as seen here:
https://my350z.com/forum/attachment....postid=1087955

What I am asking is: is the body shop going to be painting everything as seen in the above picture or are they just painting the main console piece without the kneepad pieces for $380?

If not the kneepad pieces, how much extra would they charge to include the kneepad pieces?

Not particularly. It's quite a bit more work, especially the sanding. I've seen people that fiberglass (which is much easier than sanding) over the texture and it looks pretty good, but so far I like the sanded look better.

And also, I barely have time to work on my own car right now
