But for direct questions I am here.
type of paint? PPG DBC Base Coat in Daytona Blue
what grit sandpaper? Started with 240 grit wet/dry paper and after all texture was gone sprayed 2 coats color, 1 clear, 2 more color, then 2 final clears. Then switched to 1500 after the first and second clear coat to get the smooth finish before buffing with 1200 grit rubbing compound then finally used a clear coat polish to get the mirror shine on it.
primer? No primer. But did use a plastic adhesion promotor by PPG for the DBC line.
clearcoat? PPG DBC 2042 Clear Coat.
Any other questions let me know.
im so tired of the scratchy dash in my 04... i have an 03 door that kind of doesnt match either. I want to have this done but my car is super black, so to paint the console superblack would have me scared of swirls :-) they are everywhere... and having to zaino the inside of the car doesnt sound too appealing ;-)
how much would this cost to have done?

I'm in the middle of doing this right now. I have my dash torn apart and have everything sanded. I'm gonna have ZPresence paint it for me, going to drop it off tommorrow. The blue looks really nice though.

Swirls shouldn't be a problem on the interior unless you intend to wash the dash all the time. Not sure how the rest of the car will like the water, but I guess if you have to keep it clean

But there shouldn't be an issue on parts like this with swirl marks.

Not sure on the orders, however I have an extra set that I am working on and have been considering selling them. Not 100% sure on that right now though as Bubble is correct that they are a $hit load of work.
Oh, and DIY will be coming soon, but it might be a few weeks till it is finished. If anyone has specific questions ask away as they are easier than an entire writeup.

And if I recall you had recently declared mod war on Randall, or he declared it upon you, or it just happened to be a mutual war decision.
