Hey guys, just got my second mod for my Z! Its one of those Varis CF bumper holes! I got it in a freaking THRIFT STORE!!! It had instructions and a little parts baggy inside it! Best 20 BUcks I have ever spent. Although I cant say I felt a power increase, I did notice that...I dont like CF on LeMans

So, IM getting the outside lip painted! When I went to the body shop they looked at me funny: Is this a car part?

One dude told me that I could just score it with Sandpaper and then paint it with touch-up. BS, if that thing is just slightly darker or lighter, it would look horriblier!

So, anyone have any suggestions?

I could seriously NOT believe my eyes. I was looking for a pearl to test this thing my Nephew told me: apparantly, peals dissolve in Vinegar, I have vinegar, but lack pearl. I found myself going through the shelves and saw a black thing
Looked, seemed eerily like a CF bumper hole, the instructions fell out, saw the logo, saw the little bolts, almost creamed myself

but again, hate the color.

Anyone have any IDEA how to make it the same color as my car? Thanks!

No seriously...you have to paint it. LOL
Some places will mix up paint for you and put it into spray cans. Make it real easy for you. If not you just need to go to a body shop and get it painted up. Can't cost more than $30? Probably not even that unless they make you buy a whole pint of specially mixed paint.

 

they quoted me $70 tonite, so It looks like Im in the clear.

most of yalls posts dont make any sense. Why is it such a stupid question on how to paint a bit of CF? HOW is that a dumb question? I dont want to use touch-up paint because It would look awful to have even slightly skewed colors on it. Yes, thrift store, awesome.

By bumper-hole

I mean CF Air intake opening. Its a black hole with a funnel that you put in your bumper to get more air to your intake of choice.

 

bumper hole = air duct. Try that, it sounds better.
