If you want the "dark" look paint it black, dont leave it unpainted. That looks ricey, I just saw some riced out Prelude yeterday with an unpainted front lip, it looks ok far away but looks like crap up close Dont be cheap!

I agree you should still paint it. It just doesn't look the same. Any color you want paint will make it look soooo much better. Different finish than the plastic already has.

The problem is that the plastic will eventually fade to grey and even further to almost a green color from the sun.

I would paint the lip only because I have that daytona blue Z and if you paint it that would make the Z stand out more

120-150 bucks. Make sure its a reputible company because you might have trouble with the paint matching if you arent careful.

Well, I have a pint of daytona blue paint at my disposal, but I autocross and road race, so if I paint it blue it won't take long before it starts looking really bad...sorta like my front bumper is starting to look. I may paint it a low gloss black, but I 'm in no rush. Of and it comes from NISMO primered so I don't think it will be turning green any time soon and if it starts, I'll just have sprayed black. And as for the ghetto part, well, I live in the ghetto you might say and my homies and I think it matches the wheels well.

Thanks for the comments guys, even though some dont like the unpainted look. When I first saw the lip unpainted on another silverstone I really didnt like it, however after seeing it in person it looks much better which is why I decided to go unpainted. Another reason I went unpainted was the fact that there will be 100's of rock chips on the lip and I would have to paint the thing every half year or so to keep it looking clean. i still may paint the lip a deep black with 3 coats of clear.

I have had my v1 lip for over 8k miles now and I dont have a single chip in it. I drive behind 18 wheelers all the time, I think the reason it hasnt chipped yet it due to the 4 coats of clear applied to it.

Default Paint It

I also have the silverstone track and had my Nissmo lip painted to match, as far as the chips I took it back to where I had my clear bra installled, he was able to cover my lips leading edge to match my front end and hood install.
I think the lip really adds to your cars look. Ken

Default Heres Mine

Here is my silverstone before they repainted the lip . First job was too dark.
Hope it helps in your decision. Ken

I kinda like it a little bit darker. Some people will think it's a poor paint job but I like the way it contrasts.

I just got this lip and am planning on painting it. I am with those who said to "don't leave them as is." If you want it to be black, paint it black... dont leave it unpainted b/c it looks as if you didn't have the $ to paint it. I see that a lot on less pricey vehicles.
