Thumbs up Body Shoot Out

On my last Thread, Top Secret won by a land slide over the other two. Yet, some of you said that Do-Luck and Vertex where better. So, lets see what everyone thinks

Top Secretv :

Do-Luck

Vertex

Lets see who wins

my 2 cents...

widebody versus widebody... the top secret looks nicest

non-widebody versus non-widebody... the do-luck looks nicest

so I vote for the do-luck (non-wide body)... since, as far as jdm body kits go, it's relatively affordable and looks hot

Vertex!!! IMO...one of the "cleanest" kits out there that flows with the car.

The Do-Luck and Top Secret front bumpers look so much alike. I was in the same dillema as you. I liked the fronts of the Do-Luck and Top Secret, the sides of the Vertex and Do-Luck, and the rears of the Vertex and Do-Luck. My compromised plan was to (1) Do-Luck full body kit or (2) Top Secret front w/ Vertex sides and rears. However, Jeff @ Street Image was selling his Top Secret kit and I bought and picked-up that kit instead of having to wait for it to be shipped and pay for shipping. The fit was like a glove! The sides are starting to grow on me and gives the car that "voluptuous" look. I can always revert to plan #2 if I get tired of it. From the choice of bodykits you have narrowed it down to, I am sure you will be happy with whatever bodykit you choose.

I have to say Vertex. But I also like the Do-Luck Kit its much more aggressive than my Vertex kit.

GTNPU Z:

It looks like the front of the Vertex doesn't mate up well with your intercooler from the picutres? Is that a Greddy Intercooler you have on your Z?

It's not my car. It's a memeber named "ACP" & yes he had to custom cut his kit to have the FMIC fit correctly. Yes, I do think he has the GReddy TT kit on his car. Not 100% sure though but I think I've read it on one of his posts. I'll have to double-check later. I already have my Vertex kit on order & it should be on its way but I'll be going with APS instead for my FI kit. I think the FMIC for the APS is actually smaller so I don't think fitment will be an issue. If not, I'll just do the same thing as ACP did. Still looks bad a** in my book.

I have the APS TT on my car and it does fit really well with the stock body. Just make sure you do a exhaust upgrade at the same time. They are only getting about 350 hp with the stock exhaust, where as I have the Stillen Exhaust and I am getting 400 hp. And it doesn't take any more labor to replace the exhaust when you put the TT on.

Hey MoodDude...I already have an aftermarket exhaust system (Fujitsubo Legalis-R & Helix HF Cats. Not sure how these will run with the kit though. The APS TT or ST is my next project but since my car is a daily, my main concern is for this kit to have a CARB#. Hoping they'll get one later this year or early next.

Don't know if I would do the APS to my daily either? I only use my Z as a toy. Yet, I have EGT's w/ my APS and don't notice any elevated tempuratures from the unit. Plus, APS is an all in one package. I will have to put more miles on it before I really know if it is reliable though.
