How do you remove the side mirrors? I need to replace just the glass mirror part on the driver side. I see the replacement is fairly cheap but I have no idea how to get the thing off?
I learned the hard way about just pulling on pieces. The crack in my trim around the shift **** is evidence of that.

its a plastic ball and socket joint in the middle back surface of the mirror. if you have a service manual, it shows how to do it, but as i recall, i just used a flat screwdriver and popped it out of the socket. good luck.
