If any of you do have sponsors I wouldnt ask you questions until I was satisfied believing you didnt have one, I would say good luck with your sponsor. I guess that other forum was right, there are very calssy people on this forum but for the most part there are some kids that wont let up. I am now gonna sell my Z for a titan. LOL j/k. You guys have fun Friday and saturday night arguing on a 350z forum about nothing to do with 350z's (english, tempos, motorcross, twins) Have fun guys. Till NEXT THREAD

nothing worth anything, just some entertaining banter. so back to the point of the thread... anyone have any info on how to actually get sponsored (not by all the major companys, and some we havent even heard of because they are soooooo cool and new and secret)? lol
There is quite a bit of real sponsored cars on this website, and I would love to hear the owners story on how they started, how much did they spend and how much did the sponsor pitched in.

Just send me $200 (more powerful than the SCP's $88 program), and within 4 weeks, I will send you back a check for $50,000! You do believe me don't you?

That said, here is a link to AEM's website in regard to sponsorships (they'll probably kill me for posting this
) that does give some additional "worthwhile" information on the subject:
OK, now that I've provided some useful information, can we please get back to the entertainment portion of this thread?

The best advice I could give anyone is to work hard and always keep your word. Your word is worth more then money. Don’t talk if you don’t know what you’re talking about. It is better to stay quiet and have people assume you know what you’re doing then to open your mouth and let them know that you haven’t a clue. Watch people that know what they’re doing and ask them good questions. Most importantly, don’t expect anything to be given to you. Oh and also, if it is sounds to good to be true it probably is.

Peace to everybody man.
I also learned just how to put together a proposal and how to get that information to the right people.
IMO, work my a.s.s off and "sponsor" for myself. No string attach.
Yea, I think you will start to see more and more companies get out of doing sponsorships. I think you will see the companies change to other ways to get the product out. Like company owned cars or even a group of companies that get together and build one car using their products. This way they don't have to worry about giving product away and not getting any return on their investment.

On top of it, i don't think anyone in here would get 100% sponsor. Most sponsor price like wholesale price in which we can sometime bargain with the vendor here to get and no sticker whatsoever. For example, the last time i talked to Lauren Ho at Rotora, his partial sponsor price around 2K for the 14" 6 piston while i got it from vendor here for $1950.

wow this is a solid comment (rare on this thread) This is exactly what I agree with, I've had friends that were sponsored, with show quotas it turned out to be more trouble then the benifits showed. Now we do our own thing, have no stickers that acts as goddy handcuffs, and don't obsess over missing shows. After reading this thread I'm now going to paint my car flat pink, put animal print fabric on my hood, and paint my wheels green...why because i can without coporate gilt... late
