Default Pics of PIAA TERA LED (new technology) from Piaa Super white LED

I installed my Piaa TERA Led's into the clearance strip a few days ago. I had PIAA super white LED's, but they weren't as bright as I had hoped. These new LED's are much brighter than the old Piaa LED's, and have a much wider viewing angle. This all translates to better illumination of the clearance strip. I'm happy with the results. Sorry that some of the pictures came out blury.

Here is the original thread where I learned about these leds:

The LED's are a little bit longer than the old Piaa LED's:

here is the resistor with the crimps already connected

Piaa super white led's followed by the Tera Led's

different angle same sequence

Here's a good shot showing the difference in output between the 2

with headlights on:

The led's seem to output the same color, but as you can see with the old LED's, they aren't bright enought to fill the whole strip and the light looks more blue at the bottom. These are brighter and are better at keeping the blue away. I'd say the new tera led's have very little to no blue hue to them.

Nice. I'm sending this link to my brother (who also has a G35c).

Quick question, how did you replace the LED in the G35c lampunit? Did you have to bake it like the 350Z's in order to get it open?

are they really like 45$ a pair? and only 1w no less. little pricey.

anyway my question; whats the ballast for? I could see what it might be for; but atleast on the Z; its unnescessary for that because there is no check loop to make sure its working like the turnsignals have.

or are the bulbs not capable of reducing the current so the exterior resistor drops the current for it. I guess this is more likely.

Access can be had after peeling away the front wheel well liners. You don't need to take apart, or even out, the headlight.

Yea they are a little bit pricey, but they are definately much brighter.

It appears to be an external resistor.
