hey I removed my air bag equiped seats both driver and passage o couple of days ago to but some sound detoning material down I then reinstalled them and pluged in the harnesses for the airbags. but now I have a air bag light in my car and I dont know why since I pluged the harness back in.

 

you need to reset your ecu. IIRC the light comes on because you didn't disconnect the battery when unplugging the airbag harness. Search for the procedure to reset the ecu using the ignition.

^^ the dealership did it for me for free when i went to get an oil change. no way in hell i would have paid.

 

Dealer told me warranty won't cover b/c I took the seat out and I am not a factory certified tech. But, the service guy was cool as hell and told me he would just do it right quick during my exhaust installation.
