Thumbs up Custom Dash

First time around I kinda jacked my dash up so I went to a professional.
I am EXTREMELY HAPPY with the resluts!

They spent ours buffing it till it was perfectly smooth and then they color matched it to my paint. It looks very clean and trick.

That's f'ing beautiful...too bad I don't have any money to pay anyone to do this. How hard would it be to do this myself?

They said they wont do one again...not enough profit and they said it was a major pain. In fact I got a small bubble and now they have to take it back in so it can "cure" longer.

I must say it is just like custom fiberglass in every respect. I mean just amazing I didnt expect even half this. Signature Audio (they are nextdoor to DynoComp) did it. They charged me a little over $300 but to be honest I would have paid far more for this finished product.

I think it's mainly because he prepped it himself. That's where the shops get you in cost is the labor for prepping (sanding, patching, fitment, etc...). Painting it is actually the easiest part.

BTW...dash looks good!

Edit: Guess I'm tired & didn't read it correctly...the shop actually did the prepping for him. So yeah, he definitely got a good deal.

Okay...I go to bed now. Getting my pulley installed tomorrow .

Do people actually say "trick"? I've read it before (mainly in Ebay auctions when the seller was describing the item), but I didn't think people actually used the term. I've yet to hear anyone in my area say it.

I didnt prep ANYTHING. They did all that work for very cheap and its very high quality. The guy hooked me up bigtime! They had the part for 3 days.

As far as saying trick...I don't think many people say it here wither..Im just "different" like that haha

I paid $220 to get my upper and lower consoles and rear stb silver panel done, but I sanded them smooth and primed (hint: don't prime them yourself, just sand smooth, they have better primer) before I brought them in. $220 was labor only, as I had previously bought House of Kolor paint for my engine compartment. I think ZPRESENCE on 350zfrenzy and 350zmotoring does them for around 250 or so.

Very nice looking Tom!

edit: the 2 qts of house of kolor and a spray can of catalyzer cost $250!!!!

I was thinking of having my screen molded in, and having it painted.

I like the way it looks with black, but i'm not sure about SS.
