Default Some problems with my Vertical Door Kit

So i had the VDC kit installed and i noticed two things right away, I opened the door and the door was not out all the way and it hit the A-pillar and cut the cheap plastic cloth on the door. My passenger did it too! The doors when closing rise a little bit and cause a problem, if you close the door slowly and hold it down it works...anyone have solutions to these problems or a cheap fix for the cut door panels???

Thanks

I've heard that you had to cut/roll the fenders for clearance but I'm not exactly sure if this is the cause of your issue here. Could you post pics?

After a very short while, you will no longer need to hold the door down to close it. The gas struts will lose some of their pressure.

As for the oops area, DrBonz came up with a guard (idea) that you might consider. Read these threads:

Beat me too it!

The only thread that shows my fix is the one from FRENZY however.

Here are the links to the pics:

Not sure if you have to be registered at frenzy to see these but if you do, go ahead and do it. It is a really nice site.
