Question body kit questions

hey i have had my z for a couple months and my plans are simple...

CAI, Exhaust, Headers, body kit, lowering springs

i am planning on doing the body kit first, what company is real nice and what is the best for them to be made out of? Where do i get it painted at? do shops around town do it, or do i have to take it to the dealership or something? and If i am going to lower it, is there anythign else i need to do first?

any information on any of the above parts, (good company, good experience with your own,) would be greatly appreciated...

To be honest I would have a look here.

https://my350z.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=51

as that's the mods forum dedicated to body mods.

As far as CAI goes i would say NISMO if you are sure you want a CAI. but if you are not set on a CAI i would say get a popcharger its cheaper.

There are so many exhaust out there just find one you like the sound of exborla, injen, invidia, aps, nismo, greddy, ect.)

There are alot of header brands too. exdc sports, stillen, borla, nismo, crawford, ect)

Body kits are all about what you like the looks of. Check out greddy, veilside, stillen, nismo, c west, wings west, ect.)

As far as lowering goes, if you just want springs you will need to buy camber kits if you are going to lower it more than .8" or else it will cause tire problems.(these kits are about $400 for front or rears) You can buy coilovers which will give you the best performance but are also the most expensive. or you can buy a Shock/Spring combo like the NISMO which you dont need camber kits for.

It all depends on what you like, your budget, and what your after.

actually im pretty sure since ive been dealing with aftermarket parts for a while, not 100 percent bc some may say otherwise to be safer, but you can go almost 1.5 inches without really needing a camber kit. but id just go with tein s tech if you want a nice conservative drop.

few question you should ask yourself like: how much you willing to spend? how aggressive you want your car to look? check out the bodykit gallery and find out which one you like. As far as go to your dealer, DO NOT since they will charge you an arm and a leg for it.
