I just bought my 350z and i absolutely love it. I think i love it more than my wife...j/k. Anyway i want to replace the shifter. Does anyone have the black aluminum nismo shift ****? If so how does it look and was it difficult to install. Any info would be great.

 

you unscrew it and have to pull it sorta hard, its not that easy and not hard either. i gotta warn you though, if u get a metal nismo shift **** that thing transfer heat really fast, it can get burning hot.

 

I was concerned that it would get really hot in the summer and freezing in the winter. Any other suggestions? I really dont like the stock shifter so replacing it would be nice.

 

It is not very hard at all, a friend of mine has the black and it is very nice, I wish I went that route instead of the CF Nismo. Just follow the directions to a "t" and make sure you have two pair of pliers to protect you tranny. I am assuming you are talking about the 6mt. Good luck, and great mod, feels so much better.

i don't really like the stock shifter either. i was planning on getting that same nismo shifter ****. does it take the 10mm or the 15mm for mt?

 

It would not affect the throw.

The NISMO Shift ***** are great!

THey come with install instructions now how to remove the finisher to install...

Atleast the shaft style do...

They are a 10mm **** thread diameter. The NISMO ***** are self tapping so thread pitch doesnt matter...
