Has anyone bought their kit form Nissan. I talked to the parts dept. today and they said it was going to cost somewhere from 1500.00 to 2000.00. They also said they don;t do the installation there and they are going to send me to the body shop that they use. the body shop is going to cost 1500.00. Does this sound about right?

 

You can do alot of different things. You can buy your items already painted from leeparts.com and with parts, paint and shipping it will cost you about 1500. They charge 150 to paint each part of the kit. Since you live in CA it might be more due to shipping.
Secondly, You can order the parts then have someone to paint them for you. You are going to spend around 1000 on parts at least. Then the paint and install depends on how good of a job you are looking for.
I talked to a guy that paints and he quoted me about 1500 for paint. The lip was going to cost about 185 to get painted. That means he was going to charge me 1300 bucks to paint the rear defusers and side skirts. The 1500 dollar cost you were quoted is the same as what this guy quoted me but the guy that quoted for me was said to be one of the best there is. You know how that goes though. Hope this helps.

Yeah, my boy has a shop so what we were going to do was have him buy the parts with his discount but this is what they quoted him. I guess I just have to shop around. I'm also worried about buying original nismo parts. I don't want to buy something and have it be a fake. Thanks for all the info everyone.
