I think it's the top LED that is off. It's directly on top of the middle LED. The others are centered above the middle of the two below them. Oh well. Still can't wait to receive mine.

I love the new taillights. It only looks a bit off since they didn't have room to fit 2 and then 1 led above the "3 led" row. Still looks sweet to me though.

I'm thinking about fitting the taillamps on my 2005 35th non US spec. I know US cars have 2 bulbs in the tail lamps (one does sidemarker and the other does sidemarker and stop light, yes?). Well, EU models only have the one bulb doing "poisition" light + stop light. Now, here's my question to those that have had them fitted: how do the the new lamps work? 2 connections in the back? Does the bottom portion od the lamp light up with one of the 2 connections? I mean: if I fit the US tail lamps, will I get the lower portion to light up?
Thanks! M

^ thats the same as Aus

im pretty sure there are 2 harnesses going into each taill ight, one for the sidelight, the other for the brake light ????

we should be able to just leave the sidelight harness off and the tail light will work. thats why i asked ages ago if the leds come on with the headlights on but no brake. If the leds come on ONLY with the brake, we cant use them

Jason, If you have a chance, could you please take some pictures of your tail lights that shows both sides same time? (full rear view) - LED on and off.

Thanks!

I dont have these on my car... yet...

plus... my car got side swipped while parked infront of the dealer so is now in the body shop...

THere are 2 harness plugs on the 2003-2005 tail lamps... One is a light that is always running and the other changes brightness... The smaller harness (only for the always running light) is not used with the LED Tail Lights as I previously stated...

From a video he posted of the lights turning on and off... it looked like the led's are on a slightly dimmer setting with the headlights on, and brighten to full when you apply the brakes.
I also assume they'd do this without seeing that video anyways, because that's how the 03-05 tails work right now and i don't see why they'd change it. If it didn't light up dimly with the headlights, i'm sure it wouldn't be legal even in north america.

they are dimm with the headlights on or parking lights on... they get brighter when hitting the brake pedal...
