2 weeks ago I was ran off the road by a big rig in which I ended up hitting a chain link fence and post. Damaged the driver side door, rocker panel and scraped the fender and front bumper..
This is my first accident claim ever so I'm not familiar with the process. Anyway, after filing the claim I got a form in the mail for me to fill out regarding getting some money back for diminished value after proper repairs. Has anyone else gone through this and how much did you get back?? My car is an '05 base model bought new in July.. As far as the reapirs, they'll be replacing the door, rocker and mud guard & painting the front bumper and whole left side of the car. Guaranteed for 7 years if that makes any difference..

According to this letter it will be a Diminution in Value claim. I think it's worth a shot giving them a call..
Quoted from the letter:
Under Georgia law, your claim includes a right to collect compensation not only for repair of the physical damage to your vehicle, but also for any diminution in value of your vehicle. Diminution in value reflects the difference between the market value of your vehicle before the recent occurrence and its market value after proper repairs.
USAA uses these factors to determine diminution in value:
