i purchased a pair of fender markers assemblies and i cannot seem to find the bulbs and the harnesses on the web. can someone please help me find them? thanks so much.

 

Uhh kinda confused. Are you talking about switching out the amber sidemarkers for clear ones?

 

the ones i am talking about are the ones under the "Z" on the fenders.

 

Please post pics after your install. Check out Ebay, they might have something.

 

Post it up when you find the bulbs and harness. I've been searching around too, but I haven't had any luck.

 

well i chatted with a gentleman who has this done to his Z. He says there is really is no certain bulb/socket/harness of the oem fender markers. He siad to go to an autoparts store and make the set-up yourself. i have not yet put it all together but, once i do, i'll post pics.

Nah, on ebay. the ones i have are from nissan. i believe they are the same ones though.

A friend of mine also told me there is no particular harness needed. If anything I may use one that Honda owners use for their sidemarkers. As for the bulb I'm going to just test fit when I get the markers in.

edit -- BTW, did your set come with a template?

 

it did not come with a template. can you please tell me how your installation goes? am very interested and also which harness and bulbs you end up with. Thnaks.

 

Andy at Performance says they sell them without a harness and bulb. Doesnt make any sense to me.

 

I'll keep you posted. I should be having them installed at the beginning of next month. There are a couple members I've seen on this board that have sidemarkers. I need to know if there is a template anywhere rather than guessing where to locate the marker itself.

I talked to Andy as well. He doesn't know where to get them either.

 

Does anybody know how the "indicator lights" (sidemarkers) function on the Fairlady Z?

Do the lights turn on along with the parking/highbeam lights and act as a blinking turn signal? Or do they stay off and just act as blinkers? My friend can set it up either way, but I want to know how it is on the Fairlady.
