Default Prototype Feedback Needed (Clear LED Markers)

Greeting

We have been working on these for a while now, and I wanted to get some feedback. you may remember us, we make the clear diffusers for your headlights. Here is a shot of the prototypes. We will be manufaturing these from scratch. We can do it with or without LEDs. The samples from left to right are: Clear Lens w/Amber LEDs off, Clear Lens w/Amber LEDs On, Amber Lens w/Amber LEDs On. I figured we all knew what these looked like off.

I just need to know what you guys think and what you would buy. Lets assume we sell the LED versions for 60 (Our pricing is not yet set)

They will come with a connection kit. so I need to know how long the wires would need to be.

Thanks
Jeff @ Rick's

Guy, these things are very bright. So bright infact that the background (It is white) looks yellow in the pic. We could double up the number of LEDs, but that will raise the cost some.

Also we will offer these in a smoked version as well.

So what I need to know is as follows:
  1. What would you change?
  2. What colors should we offer? Amber Lens, Clear Lens, Smoked Lens
  3. Should we offer them without LEDs?

Good idea.

I went with three LED lights as that's the styling concept that the car has running through it. Putting more LEDs down there isn't functional so it's just a looks thing and that of course, is personal. Running with two banks of four means you don't need a resistor in the circuit.

The wires need to be about 24 inches long - you'll cut off about 6" that during the installation. That lenght will get you to each headlight assembly where you can connect them to the parking, turn, or highbeams. I'm not sure where the HID 12 VDC input is so I can't guess on that length needed. I would guess that most people are hooking them to the parking or turn signals which would be easy to nail with a 3M splicer.

If you targeted a cost of $50 a pair, they would Sell Like hotcakes.

I'd definitely take these. When are they releasing? My recommendation:

1. Make them smoked, like not black but like a in between grey-ish hue.
2. Keep the LED's as bright as possible as far as MCD goes.
3. Sell me the first set

Do you know how much space there is between the reflector cover and the back of the housing? It would look sweet if you could squeeze say a 6" white cold cathode into the housing as your turn signal instead of led's (or anyo other color you want).

Compared to Ares lights I dont see any comparison. Ares just has been doing this for a while and his products are looking great, awesome person to deal with, I got his 30led clear sides, they are awesome (could have been a lot brighter imo but they are bright as is, ill take pics and post soon) but not a lot of leds just doesnt suit my need i would guess
