Default My Z got some updates - KurumaZ Bumper + extras

Ok so I have had my KurumaZ bumper for a while, just was waiting on finding a good time to put it in the paint shop. Well Dec 26 on my drive home from being with my family for Christmas, I was side swiped by a deer. It did about $2000 worth of cosmetic damage to the driver side (mirror, door, glass, and over door molding). Perfect time to get everything done!

Pics of damage:

OK so now the bumper:

Extras:

Incase you forgot or never knew . . .I hate wipers and removed them long ago. I dont use them nor feel like I need them. I keep my glass slick, water wont even stand on it.

To accompany this I finally deleted my rear wiper!

Now I need some help with this. Since I have no front nissan burger emblem, I did not want any rear emblem either. I have had this planned forever so I figured this was the time. I put a large Z emblem from the rear strut tower brace in place of the burger emblem to cover the holes. Now do I totally remove the 350Z from the corner or remove just the Z, leaving 350 in the corner. Or do I leave it all. Please let me know what you think. I think its too much as it sits now. I was going to take it all off at the same time but want input first.

About the front bumper . . .I fit it myself and had a few issues but I am no bodyshop person. I told my shop my troubles and they said they can get it perfect. They were very surprised at the closeness of the bolt up fit already and the quality. They said even most “real” kits are hack jobs to fit. Special thanks to Yuichi @ KurumaZ for getting me this bumper. I love it and it gets lots of looks!

Remove the smaller 350z emblem completely. I'm really liking the look, very sweet! What % tint do you have?

Turned out pretty good. And +1 on removing the "350Z" entirely. It will make the back look more symmetrical, especially since you also removed the rear wiper.

Very clean, +2 on debadging the 350Z. I love that front bumper and am considering getting one. How much did it cost to get painted?

i also say remove the rear "350z".

or you can remove all the emblems and have the holes filled and repainted.

I am not quite sure. I paid $800 cash for the bodywork on door and rocker panel from the deer, and painting both new front and rear bumpers. (rear bumper had been hit 3 times and had some scratches and creases).

That looks really slick with the front wipers taken off, like a concept car. If you could magically shave the door handles so they're flush with the doors, that would enhance the concept car look I think. Maybe just painting them would do the trick...

The one piece front bumper is clean. Still can't believe that you drive without windshield wipers.

Well if TN requires it they dont enforce it. I use a combination of products on the windshield which dissipates water faster than any wiper and its even better when the car is in motion. The trick is to make sure the glass stays clean and coated.

I was actually caught in a freak rain storm complete with tornados and all here a couple months ago and I had a fellow Z guy with me. We did kinda make fun of all the people with their wipers on full speed and several with their hazards on.

I made this change after a friend of mine who has a 2003 NSX-T removed his wipers. He is a pilot and uses some sort of airplane glass coating on his but he said with the slope on the glass he would see no reason not to remove them. So far I am happy. I did keep the drivers side in the trunk for a long time after just in case, but I have since removed it. I do take it on long trips.

Do you have any side pictures of your car with the new bumper? Looks great from the front, I love the fact that the Nissan "burger" is eliminated.
