Default Quick V1 hardwire answer needed ::PICS inside::

I know this is going to be movied but I need a quick answer. Here is what I know, or think I know. I plug in the 8ft straight cord that was included into the V1, run it thtough the headliner, down the dash etc. to the fuse box. The its my understanding that I plus the other end of the cord into the box with the positive and negative wires coming out of them. I know the black is ground, east enough and the other is power, but do I need to trim that wire or is there something I can do with the wire as is with the attachment at the end. Also I saw I was given two fuses and some blue thing, what are those for??

I know I can strip the power wire, run it around the end of the lighter fuse and plug is back in, but I'm just wondering if there is an alternative with the way it came from the factory.

Thanks in advance.

I wired my V1 into the power available at the rearview mirror. I didn't cut the wires, I carefully slit the insulation and solvered to the wire. Taped it, and put the cover over it and it looks fantastic. My V1 comes on with the rearview.

Herring.
