Default Aluminum Shift *****..."too hot to handle"?

I have a ZR and I want to change my shifter **** from leather to all aluminum. Would this be a mistake? With the top being down and the sun out...would the **** be too hot to handle?

id say it would be the other way around, with the top up and in the sun it would be too hot... the metal 6 speed symbol on my leath shift **** is too hot to handle when its hot outside so the all metal mgiht be a lil scary. Try going for ceramic or keep some towels in ur car

I have an aluminum shift **** in my RSX Type S and it get really hot in the summer. I would assume with the top down it would be very hot. But that is just my opinion

Stainless Steel will stay cool to the touch longer than aluminum. This **** is also superior to any of the Nismo ***** on the market. If you ever have an issue with it, Id suggest carrying around a small (and clean) sock and throwing it over the **** while you're away from the car.

Oh, and you're welcome.
