Great company. The sales guy called back after my order to give me an update on delivery. When the supplier changed deliver time, Intense called me back to give me an update. I didn't even have to call them first! That was a first for me.

Uh, I'm witholding comment until my present situation with Darren and Intense Motorsports is ironed out. I received the new Injen CAI yesterday evening only to discover that the box was breached and the long metallic duct was missing! Upon informing the vendor, Darren kindly says to go take it up with UPS!!! That ain't right...

Hello,

I guess you're not really witholding comment are you?.. lol. Anyways, this is an issue that you had the decision to keep between us, on email or phone, but you're bringing it up on a national forum. I guess I will explain our side of this situation now. Mind you, all email that have to do with this issue took place in one day, yesterday. One of the emails, in fact, I received when I came in this morning, on my day off.

Your 1st email stated:

"Intense Motorsports,

We have a problem.

The product listed below arrived today. The box was NOT securely closed. All package tape points (3) were broken. Upon inspecting the contents I quickly realized that the long metallic duct was missing, but its plastic wrapper was still inside the box. It is almost as though someone opened the box and selectively removed this one piece!

Please contact me ASAP and instruct on how you want me to proceed.

Thanks,
"

My reply was:

"Hello,

My apologies for this inconvenience. You will need to contact UPS to file a claim. The box was securely closed when it left here. Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you in the claims process. Thanks again!"

Your 2nd email stated :

"Dear Darren,

I would like for you to send me the missing component at no additional cost or else another option is that I can return the whole box for a FULL refund. As you know, I can always have my credit card company intervene as a means of assuring safe return of my money. Let me know what you would like to do."

Now, we ship 100's of products/packages/boxes a week, and there are occassions when a box is tampered with, or is damaged en route to our customer. If your issue was that, the part was missing, but the "tape points (3)" were NOT broken, then of course we would immedietly replace the part. I hope you and other members that are reading this realize that, the solution that I offered is standard procedure. While the part that you are missing is small, and inexpensive to replace, we have to maintain a semblance of consistency for shipping issues. If it were say, a big brake caliper that was missing, I would have advised you to do the same thing. High dollar item or low dollar item, the rule of thumb must be consistent. Otherwise, one could point out that we are playing favorites, or in general, being inconsistent. I show from the tracking number that the product was left on the porch by the driver. Therefore, there was nobody to inspect it, or sign for it. From our 6 years of doing mail order, there is a great likelihood that UPS will accept the claim, and you will get a replacement for the product that was missing.

I don't like dealing with issues like this on a public forum. I suppose that my email reply could have gone into all of this, but it would have been overkill. Having to explain it in lenght as I'm doing so now, is necessary, as we currently have a national audience reading this thread.

My offer to assist you in the claims process still stands.

Well since I was the one that started this thread I'm sorry for the inconveince to intense motorsports and to anyone here. I just wanted to find a good place that could help me get the product that I need. So Darren I'm looking for a veilside version one front lip in urethane, greddy side skirts and veilside rear lip in urethane. I need to get as soon as I can.
If someone has a problem with a company you shouldn't come on here to try to resolve it. You should do it on the phone or my email. Just like darren explained. I'm not going to think of intense motorsports any different because of one shipping problem, theres 10 other people that said there a great company to deal with. I hate dealing with shipping but how are you going to get your product. I cant just get in my car and drive to arizona from mass to get what I need.

Hello,

Please don't apologize for anything. This is a national, open forum, and anyone has the right to voice their concern. My reply to that post was standard, as at that point, I had to provide full detail about the situation. The latest, greatest news, is that the customer did file the claim. Today, I received a call from UPS that they accepted the claim!

Anyways, as far as your inquiry about aero products is concerned: VeilSide Urethane products are out of stock here, and at VeilSide USA. VeilSide Japan has discontinued the manufacturing of all urethane products, as they are not "popular" in Japan anymore. Therefore, VeilSide USA will start production for their popular urethane products. At this time, however, there is NO ETA though. We have the GReddy side skirts in stock! Lol.

Thanks again for your thread and your understanding of the "situation". Everything's cool now. Lemme know if you want to order anything, or if you have further inquiries. D.
