That grill looks exactly like the gutter guard that Lowe's sells. I thought about picking up a piece of it and trying that but, the "X"'s just don't look thin enough for me.

I used a 12 gauge SS Mesh I got from a metal fab. shop for $10.00. Had it powder coated black for $25.00 The openings in the mesh are about 1/8 " so airflow is good and it blacks out the front which is just what I wanted.
