What's the typical weight ratio between CF components and their molded plastic or fiberglass counterparts? Kind of lighter, very much lighter, incredibly lighter?

Personally, I wouldn't want to spend the money to head-to-toe my ride in the stuff unless it made significant weight reductions, and when used purely for aesthetics, I think the stuff is kind of tacky. I guess I kind of look at it like I do chrome, it's ok if done very subtlely.

I assume with proper prep work it is easily painted?

How in the blue hell did you get the black push-clips out of the front bumper??? I have gotten them lifted for removal, but they are absolutely stuck in there. If I use any more force, the bumper will crack around them, or I will break them. Is there some sick joke going on, or some special thing I need to do? 'Cause damnit this is making me nuts. I ahve half a mind to just try to find some new ones somwehere and drill these bastards out.

Someone please help me install my CF radiator shroud.

I can install and tune turbos but not install a CF shroud. Pwned.

I can help you with that. it was a little tricky for me at first too. what you have to do is pull the "head" of the clip all the way up, but...then just push it down a little bitty bit and the whole deal will slide up and out. you just have to find the sweet spot.

You're not the only one, man....I think my wisdom teeth came out more easily than those damn retaining clips did. I didn't use any special tools to get them out...just needlenose pliers and a shyteload of pulling. I also tried reaching uderneath the bumper and pushing the tines on the clips together with one hand while pulling up the clip with the other. That seemed to help a little bit. I didn't worry too much about breaking the clips. Since I had a feeling that they would be a b!tch to remove, I bought a spare set of them just in case I got a little too forceful and broke a couple.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone.

I did pretty much everything in the above post, but knew I would break something. So I went to AAP and bought some shiny new black ones and ripped out the other ones. They had 4 little prongs inside the hole, and only 3 made it out alive on each one. The new ones have the ribs on the side to hold them in place as opposed to the original function, however they work just as well and are more pleasing to the eye. I will take some pictures tomorrow in the light and show you guys.

They are overlays, but I don't have a pic of them. You can only see edge of the mirror, so it looks like it have a silver trim. Here's the link for EVO-R 's mirrors. If you look at the bottom photos of the ones on the LeMans Z, They're exactly the same. I'll see if I can get you some photos. I'm impressed with them.
