Default Ring around the tint?

I got my windows tinted this weekend, and on the back glass and the rear side glass where the tint runs into the black edge of the glass there in a light colored ring. It looks kind of crappy.
Does anyone else's tint do that. Can it be fixed by reheating the tint and pressing it down harder to make it stick around the edges?

is it that the tint is peeling up, or did they just cut it smaller than they should have?

either way, sounds like you got a bad tint job, ALL windows should be tinted to the very edge. no untinted surfaces. removing the 3rd brake light cover, and door panels is semirequired for this.

It's not that the tint isn't cut big enough, the tint covers the full area.
It's hard to explain; on the back glass, the area between the black glass and the glass you can see through is separated by a ring of small dots. It's on this ring of dots where it looks like the tint is not fully bonded to the glass, and thus appears lighter.
But yeah, the tint jobs not the best, Arkansas sucks. I don't think anyone in the state knows how to install a hid kit either.

If you just got your tinting done, you need to continue to run your thumb or finger around that edge to help seat the tint on those edges. It will go away in time. My tint installer had me do this for a couple of weeks, until the tint finally blended with the "dots" that are around the windows.

This was mostly a problem with the small side windows, right?

Yeah, it's those dots around the side and rear glass. I'll try pressing it down with my thumb to see if that helps any. thanks.
Those Damn dots! I hate em.

FYI-- those dots are called matrix dots, just wait two or three days for the glue to dry up a bit more and run your fingers through them.
