Targa Top Pre-Orders Now being taken
Even if they did have a Targa top, I would never again give my money to Altered Atmosphere. If anything went wrong, you wouldn't see your money anymore. Well, I take that back..... they would at least keep 25 percent of it regardless of whether they had the right product or not in the first place. Then it would be your fault for ordering from them and not reading their refund policy on their web page. That's the feeling I was left with when dealing with them.

Yea so basically my car has been up there for a little over a month and a half now without even being touched. When I went up there and dropped the car off it was not a conditional statement and the contract between myself and Iron Man Customs states that a prototype Targa Top would eb developed on my car free of charge. Things have changed and I've missed shows as well I now have to go all the way back up to NJ to get my car which is a real blower. As far as the BS or the monkey pissing on Noah and myself that is BS. Iron Man told me that they were doing a special price for people who want to put in deposit orders so I posted it up here, so I see no reason for those little icons or whatever you call them. Cyp there is probably more to your story than AAM ordering the wrong part and not giving you a refund but I'm not sure about your situation so I can't comment, however AAM has been easy to deal with for me.
With respect to Z roadster owners.... I like the lines of the coupe better. When you get the roadster, you lose that awsome sexy roofline at the back that to me is a signiture of the 350Z. And that is why so many people were interested in the Targa pictures, finally you could have the best of the two worlds. The targa would let you have no roof but still keep the coupe's sexy roofline at the back.
That doesn't mean I would buy another roadster, just that I was disapointed in the way the 350Z roadster turned out with their soft top design.
Disclaimer: Again, with respect to Z roadster owners, the above is my personal opinion hence why I choose the coupe.

Has anyone heard from Iron Man lately????
I called and left messages yesterday and today and no one is answering the phones. Its like they dropped off the face of the earth.
My deposit is up there and no I'm starting to worry not about when the top will get done but if I am ever going to see my money again!!!

They didn't take AMEX so i put it on my check card, don't know how it works for that.
But since my last post they actually picked up. I called 5 times in a row and finally got someone on the other end. They are formalizing the terms of the deposit for me so I don't get screwed on at least the money side of it.
By the way it looks like it will be another month or so. They don't have any pre-orders so the mustangs which they have orders for take priority. Not the best way to do business, but its not my company.

Brutal. AS far as the OP. Must be nice to be in a situation where you can ignore the progress on your car a month and a half. Knowing me I'd be calling them everyday. Trust no one. Especially a shop in NJ lol.
I would ask for my money back but as soon as its ready, I would be giving it right back to them. As long as I have it in writing, I'm not too concerned.
I have been considering selling the Z just because I really want more air. I am that guy that has the windows down all year round. I have been looking at different targas and convertibles but this made the most sense.
My car is parked at home right now so I'm not missing out on anything. If it was there I would be pissed.
