Default N-Style Bumper Question(s) WITH PIC!

I just ordered the N-Style bumper from Gruppe-S, has anyone removed the license plate holder from the bumper? I was thining of having my bodyshop remove that piece since I wont be putting a plate on my front (and yes, I know it's illegal in IL). Finally, I probably would like a nice mesh grill piece behind in the hole... any recommendations? thanks

If its poly-urathane, just use an x-acto or utility knife. Hobby hot knife cuts through it like butter.

Yeah, I'd do the reinforcement bit, otherwise it might flop around on you. Then again, if it's painted black like that, I'd just leave it; it's barely noticable.

Someone just posted this last week I think. I can't remember his name...but he did it and it looked great. The grill that comes w/the kit will cover the area behind the plate holder piece.
**oops nevermind, just read the 1st reponse

You will need to have some kind of reinforcement for the center bar if you do cut the piece out. I have the Kuruma bumper and it came with a grill and hardware. If your's doesn't come with a grille you could prob order one that fits perfectly to this bumper from kurumaz.com

I did not cut that piece out on my bumper and instead just had them paint it a flat black like in the picture above in your first post. In TX we have to have front plates so I use the Zee-bracket and it works perfectly. Good luck on your install.
