I disagree....

With the OEM kit, the mudgards,"continue" the flow of the skirt to the rear end.

agree with you to a point heres were I'm on the fence... I like the shape of the front guards and how they flow but the rear ones have always seemed to have a "tacked on" look. But if i take the rears off i can't leave the front ones on

Yup...I agree with you..I like the fronts but not the backs...I'd leave them on just because I think the lines flow really well.

If you had a lip, I would say leave the front mud guards. It would continue the lines.

yeah i can see that, I will probally end up with a full kit at some point... but the way the car is now i think i'm going to leave them off... I'll probally decide tomorrow after i get a chance to see how it looks in full sun.

Next on the board:
Wheels, a small drop, and a small spoiler like this one or maybe the stillen...

w/o an aero kit, the mudguards look good... if you get a rear diffuser, get rid of them cause it makes the rear end look too busy.

The car looks a lot more aggressive without them. I had them on when I bought the car and eventually just took them off and left them off. MUCH better without if you don't have a body kit.

Not another mud guard thread

I look at it this way.

How many Lambo's, Ferrari's, Porsche's do you see with splash guards?

Now how many Pickups, 18 wheelers, station wagons, SUV's, family sedans and soccer Mom mini vans do you see with splash guards?

Now tell me how sexy splash guards are!

Regardless, without the Nismo kit or any aftermarket kit, the mud guards help the lines of the Z. Mud guards STAY!

Exactly!

I have a front lip and left the front gaurds on b/c I think they look ok, but took the rears off (going to be adding a rear skirt soon). Here's an aeasy experiment so you can decide for yourself: put one rear gaurd on and take one off, them look at the car from behind. It should be obvious to you immediately whether on or off is your preference.

The rears are what kills it for me; I wouldn't mind them if they were designed to flow better and wrap around like the G35c gaurds...

Right. I failed to mention in my above post that I only took the rears off. I left the fronts on. Looks much better with the fronts on and rears off, imo.

I will have to take mine off and see..

Come to think of it, they really arent that effective as splash guards anyways..

+2.... A front lip streamlines it even better, when used in combination with the mud guards.
