Default Is there stock of JDM Nismo Rear Underspoiler in the US?

Hi guys

Got my Nismo JDM bumper and skirts sitting in my garage ready to be fitted. However ive now decided to go for the Nismo rear underspoiler as well. My parts were ordered direct from Nismo Japan, however they didnt have stock so i had to wait 3-4 weeks for it to be manufactured. Likewise the rear pieces now, but im in a bit of a hurry

So does anyone know if one of the sponsors or another site has stock of the JDM Nismo rear underspoiler. If there are any vendors watching, pm me. It has to be the JDM parts, not the USDM

Cheers
Sam

thanks for the info dude

i did contact Z1 and they dont have them - would need to special order like my importer

i got a very good price from japanparts, shipped for AUD $660, and just waiting to know whether they have a set in stock. There was a set of yahoo japan auctions but the seller ended the listing only hours before buying them. So unless a vendor chimes in within the next couple days, ill just grab them from japanparts, that is if they are in stock

to be honest i never really like the nismo rear piece, which is why i didnt order them initially. But i got my new copy of HyperRev and the Kansai HKS car had just the skirts and stock bumper and it didnt look right. So im opting for the Nismo rears to make the kit flow better. There isnt really any other rears that match as well. Id prefer the JDM rears which are smaller and slimmer

thanks mate, appreciate it

i like the look of the nismo kit minus rear wing, looks very bottom heavy, a bit more aggressive

i was thinking of maybe a Blitz or Weber rear wing, but seeing your pics i think ill leave the stock wing

I never cared for the Nismo rears, either, so I'm going with the Veilside v1 rear skirt; pretty sublte, yet adds a little bit back there and matches up with the molded body line incorporated in the Nismo sides. I have the V1 lip, also, though, so it all goes. I'm going with the US sides; I would have preferred the smaller humped JDM sides, but they are just crazy expensive compared to the US ones and long wait on them.

Anyway, I was going to say... if you're doing your car all one color, consider having the Nismo rears molded into the bumper; they look WAY better molded in. There are some good pics of a SS car in another thread around here with them molded in and it looks HAWT.

ouch USD 1600 for a wing is rediculous

when i see the prices of the authentic JDM Nismo kits in US i cant believe it. For 99.9% of parts it is ALOT cheaper for us to buy in the US, however the Nismo kits arent so. My bumper and skirts cost me AUD 2K (a discounted price admiteddly because ive bought a few things from my importer) but even then, his list price on the V2 bumper minus canards was around AUD 1180 (50 bucks more expensive than the V1) and the same 3-4 week wait - that would be around USD 800

i wanted the V1 rear for a long time, i really liked it, until i came across this car.......just doesnt flow imo. The skirts sit lower than the sides of the VI rear

See, that looks right to me (good thing, since that's what my car will look like as soon as I get my skirts and rear painted...). The top of the rear skirt lines up and flows with the body line molded into the side skirts.

I agree that the bottom of the rear skirt is not as low as the sides, but it shouldn't be; that's make the back of the car look droopy from the side. IMO, if you look at a full on side shot of a car with full Nismo kit (like the first pics posted in this thread), the rear pieces drop down too low and it makes the shape of the rear wheel well look funny. The bottoms of them match up with the skirts, but they shouldn't, IMO, as the rear of the car slopes up from the skirts into the curve of the bumper.

Anyway, that's just me; just PLEASE mold them in.

i hear what you're saying, but that first pic is with JDM skirts and USDM rear, no offence mc, but they dont work well together, since the rear is larger and bulgier than the skirts

here is a full JDM, it does flow when both the skirt and rear is the same manufacturer

but hey each to their own, i understand that totally, glad i could have helped you out. Btw i found that pic on this forum, so search veilside v1 rear and you can find it again v- there were a few more pics

bought from Aus, my dealer then ordered direct from Japan

splitting up the costs, the bumper was AUD 1200, the skirts AUD 800 - both shipped from Japan to Aus

Ah, ok, I see what you're saying. Yeah, that last pic looks MUCH better from the side. I just wanted a full rear skirt to give the rear view a little extra something and cover up the part of the OEM bumper that goes between the exhaust tips, since that flap on mine sits a bit crooked for some reason... Thanks for posting up that pic; I searched all over before and didn't see that car, but I can only see uploaded pics at work and not linked ones, so maybe that's why...

id like a full rear too, my last car had a Zender kit with a rear diffuser

i tried getting my hands on the kei office rear bumper, but these have been discontinued apparently. That, and i was told my Fujitsubo exhaust tips wouldnt fit through the bumper....bummer

I wanted to avoid a full bumper replacement b/c I don't care for fiberglass parts and size and cost of painting a larger piece (though I love the look of the Do Luck Aerowivern rear bumper...).

I really like this rear skirt:

The design of it makes it look like it's intgrated into the bumper, rather than an add-on. Pretty expensive and from Europe, though. I don't care for any of the larger rear skirts, as they just look tacked on (except maybe the Ings).

The amuse skirt is better than most, but it still has that tacked on look, IMO. I wanted something light, clean and subtle.

The Elia skirt is a bit busier in appearance, but I like it b/c it doesn't look like an obvious stuck on lip and b/c it closely resembles the Do Luck rear bumper (pic below). Still, it's nearly $600 plus shipping from Europe, IF they'll even sell it to US buyers... Wasn't about to drop that kind of cash, so Veilside it is.

but shipping something as large as a bumper from Japan to the US is at least half the price of shipping a similarly sized box to the US...and then it has to go to it's end destination
