I spent $1300 on paint and labor for mods and prep to finished parts. The paint for Silverstone is only available from Ditzler/PPG, nobody else had the mix code. Fiberglass/resin, sealer, primer, basecoat and clearcoat/hardener/reducer were $497. Labor for it was 20 hours.
This is not your average shop, they work on fiberglass cars (Corvettes, Lotuses etc.)and do street rod restorations. The '57 Chevy Nomad they are finishing has a $15,000 paint job bill.

Since we are just throwing out opinions here I'll toss mine in as well.
I like the side reflectors but don't care for the oversized Nissan badge on the front.
Pretty neat that they filled it in for you.
SOmeone should do the same except replace the Nissan emblem with one of the "Z" emblems on the sides of the car.

I'm really diggin the removed emblem, but I'm not sure about the reflectors. I think, now that I've seen a Z without 'em, that they are a key ingredient to the style of the Z. Overall, it's real nice.
Make no mistake, I'd hit that!
