Default JP Type A kit

Hey guys! This questions is more for the members that have the fibreglass JP Type A kit. I just got this kit today from JP and I did a semi test fit.

By the looks of things the rear under spoiler and side skirts looks like its gonna fit really tight.

My question is how bad does this kit scratch up your car? Assuming one day I take off the kit and return to stock.

Is there any way to help or prevent scratching?

Thanks alot!

Sometimes the rear skirt will cause small abrasions on the rear bumper, but nothing that cannot be buffed out. It really depends on how long you keep it on there.

If you want to protect the paint underneath, go to a paint supplier shop and purchase the 3M 233 or 233+ masking tape. Tape up the bumper on where it will scratch and that's it. When you return it to stock it will peel off nicely or you can even get the more expensive urethane tape to protect it. Don't use the cheap masking tape or blue tape they will dry up and become hard to take off.

Why would you want to take it off once you put it on there? Trust me, once its on, the last thing you would want to do is take that kit off, it looks awesome. Don't forget to get the rear wing, it really enhances the looks of the kit nicely. Good luck!
