In an effort to reduce weight from the front end of my Z, I have contemplated cutting/ removing the front bumper beam. I have a few question's
1) How much does this beam weigh?
2) Does anyone make a lightweight beam (Like how Subarus have the light weight JDM beam)
3) Can the bumper cover still be fixed on without this beam?
4) Has anyone tried cutting parts off this beam before?
I know the dangers of removing/modifying bumper beams so we need not get into that issue.
Thanks!

It's aluminum and is not that heavy, maybe 8lbs. Mine is out as well but it was to make room for the intercooler. I'd leave it in. A small fender bender turns out to be pretty expensive if that is not there

Thanks! If it's only 8 lbs. I guess it's not worth it, I head soomewhere it was 20lbs, I figure 20lbs. that far in front of the wheels could make quite a difference.
What about the rear beam?
