Alex,

I know we've had our differences, but from a Z guy to a Z guy...there is NO WAY you should be paying $1000-$1500 for a gallon of paint. This must be some super-duper/special/reflective/color-changing/soft-touch/chameleon paint that is only found on Mars. If your body-shop is charging you that much, they are ripping you off 10-fold. You can get some "House of Kolor" paint for 1/8th the price of that. It doesn't matter what color it is either.

I'd look into maybe getting the paint yourself or something if they plan on charging you that much.

Also, the dark-green filler they used is called "Kitty-hair". It's a spreadable fiberglass filler that is INCREDIBLY strong when cured. That stuff isn't cheap either and they used a good amount on there. That's a sign that they're doing a good job.

.
That is the quote i got from a local paint store here. it is one of the reason why i'm still undecide on getting a new color because the cost of it. Bodyshop will paint it for free.

You must be going with a chameleon then. Anything else and they are over-charging you tremendously.

i have no idea. I saw some of the sample they hang on the wall. Pick out the one i like and ask for price. SO even with $1000/gallon, that still too much?
