the problem with the CF hatch and the factory hatch is that it's curved on the inside. and the factory hatch is actually multi-layed depending on where you're at...

attaching a flat base on the inside and then attach that to the wing pedistal is the hard part- every wing i've seen for this Z (GT style) has it's own curved base. if we had the G35 coupe trunk, not an issue, that is uniform and relatively flat... we got that weird bump- check out the sh#@%# i had to do just to get my base installed:

since he's going with the Cwest wing, the wing base attaches to the hatch, and then attach to the pedistal indepently. its not all just one unit.. so all he has to do is just unbolt the pedistal to the base, and you can remove the wing.. it wont be as fast if he did a cotter pin setup like you suggested, but alot easier than cutting thru the cf hatch like the Axis car-...

I don't mind taking 10 min. to un-bolt the wing. Its not like I will be taking it on and off all day. The reality is, it will stay on most of the time since my car pretty much only sees track use.

Last I talked to them, they were super backed up and couln't get to my car for months. I have another cage builder lined up that can knock it out in 2-3 weeks whenever I needed. Technosquare does do awesome work though.
