Veilside ver1 front lip - Clearance Question
I searched/roamed most of the veilside threads and couldn't find an answer...
I really like the Veilside v.1 front lip and am wondering how much clearance is available once it is installed. I can't tell if the lip is flush with the existing bumper or if it is lower by 1-2 inches? Pictures are difficult to figure this out. I have stock suspension and don't plan on lowering it. Can anyone provide some insight on this? Also, it looks like the front air dam is slightly covered as well.
Thanks much!

With stock suspension you should have 4.5-5" of clearance in the front. I have 4" with the Nismo suspension. The bottom of it is just ever so slightly lower than the little black plastic spoiler under the bumper that is part of the aero package. It's the fact that it sticks out further than stock that makes you have to be careful of scraping than anything, but out of all the lips, the v1 is probably the least succeptable to scrapes. I have yet to scrape mine, but I'm pretty careful.

a little off topic but did anyone have installation issues? My urethane was a very tight fit. I had to use so much force (twisting, pulling, etc.) to get it on. It felt the sides of the lip were going snap off from the amount of stress i put on it. And on top of that, one of the bottom screws doesn't match up with the bumper holes. Just wanted to see if anyone else experience this with the urethane version because i thought it was suppose to be a "perfect fit".

did you guys screw in any extra screws? There is a predrilled hole at the side of the lip. I'm kind of scared my lip might fall off over time. Some of the double-sided tape isn't sticking to the bumper. =\

so since the tape is crap...should i remove it and get new tape? I don't know if the tape's adhesive is still strong because when i was installing it, i had to re-aligned it 3 times. The lip looks to be secure tho with the screws on the bottom. I might be paranoid right now because this isn't really a cheap lip and i don't want it to fly off the car.
