Default Which CF B-pillars?

So many choices, so much price variance... Do you really get what you pay for or is Nismo way overpriced? Which look the best, stay on the best, not fade, ect.; which should I get???

Nismo ($150):

Varis ($99):

Evo-R ($89):

Ebay ($50)

Damn those E-bay ones really dont look bad for $50. Tough choice though. Sounds like someones getting a little carbon fever. It's very contagous.

Go with the ebay ones,

with the nismo ones your mostly paying for the name, and the 2 stickers they are going to send you. Im all about nismo and I love their products but:

Cmon now how f%#$ed up can someone make a CF pillar cover. If it hade more curves and specialty important bends/holes I might buy more expensive stuff for I know the better quality.

Yeah, that's why I worry about the Ebay ones... they look just like the Evo-R ones in the pics, but who knows? I wouldn't want them to discolor or peel.

In the pics, I noticed the Varis ones look very stuck on; like the carbon just goes to the edge of the panel and stops, where the Nismo and Evo-R pieces appear to have a little lip at the egdes that wraps the edge of the B-pillar for a cleaner look... is this accurate?

Heck, if the Evo-R ones are just as good, I could always buy a Nismo sticker and make them look like the real Nismo pieces...

Nismo. stick properly 1st time with no lifting and the weave is perfect. It's a Z, don't buy cheap immitations!

Check out Equibs.com. The guy I bought from there is a member on this board, Z350lover I think, and the products were top notch, delivered in good time.

Hmm, at this point it's narrowed down to the Nismo and Evo-R covers.

Anyone have the Evo-R ones that can comment?

Thinking I may want to go Evo-R, since I'll probabaly be adding some of their CF interior stuff; that way it would all match as far as the weave, etc... Sound reasoning?

I'll say this, Jay@evo-r seems to be very popular on this site, I would trust any product he produces. I bought his Ti colored shift **** and it's beautiful.

Ya know Steve the CS bumper would look really good with a Varis intake duct on it, and they're functional. Evo-r may even make something simiular.

the ebay ones are JUNK. I have a customer with them on his car, and the laminate totally peeled off and it now looks like an old leather shoe.

The Varis ones are nice but do not fit perfectly - close, but not perfect.

the Evo R ones are spot on, as are the NISMO ones

Yeah, I may consider the duct at some point; I've just never been in love with the look of it, but maybe I'll change my mind once I get a little CF on the car...

I'm still actually considering those Ebay overlays... They look identical to the Evo-R ones and I'm willing to bet they are manufatured by the same outfit. Check out the seller's store; they also have the CF side emblem overlays that several people here have and like and a CF radiator air guide that looks identical to the AutoTecknic one sold by intense. Heck, I could get all these items for what the Nismo B-pillars would cost... should I take a gamble???

Edit* Z1 Performance must have been typing at the same time as me... Hmm, deff. don't want to gamble on the B-pillars, then, if that's the case... Looks like I'll prob go Evo-R. Just can't see spending twice as much on Nismo... Question, though: did your customer get them from the same Ebay seller? He may have gotten something else...

I have the Varis B-pillar. The fitment on mine is dead on the spot. And the quality is also top notch. Intense sells them for $99 shipped. I had to wait for a few weeks since they were backordered, but it was all worth it after it was put on.

I had the Varis ones on my own car, as we are a Varis dealer....fitment was close to perfect, but the corners just did not line up.

I'd have to ask him who he got them from, but yes, they were from ebay and the seller has had them offered for a while. From 10 feet away they look fine. Up close they are badly cracked and the resin is actually starting to bubble from them

Hmm, ok; good to know. Just did a search and those are the only ones on Ebay, so they must be the same. I've heard good things about the side emblem overlays, so I'll prob get those (then again, Intense sells them for the same price...), but I guess I'll spend a little more and go with Evo-R on the B-pillars.

I don't really care for the Varis logo on theirs, so that one was out of the running anyway. Nismo is nice, but just too much money; I can always put a nismo sticker on the Evo-R ones if I want...
