Default Please Read if you have an aftermarket Steering wheel....

Ok, So here is the deal.. I recently acquired a Momo Steering Wheel and Hub. While I have installed aftermarket wheels before so it is not necessarily my first rodeo, but it is my first time installing one in a Z. After I took off my factory wheel off this is what I saw..

The Momo hub would not fit over the Air bag wires and the plastic horn clip so I removed that Piece. Now the problem I have is that the hub will not slide all the way onto the steering shaft. There is an approximately inch to inch half gap from the hub to the gauge shroud. My question to everyone is, while this looks really crappy, is it normal fit ?

I find it hard to believ that this is normal, if anyone else has come accross this problem could you please help me out with what you did to fix the problem or tell me what I have not done to make it fit..

The Hub that I have is a 3516.. Also anyone know if ther is a difference between the 03 -05 models to the 06 models ?
Thanks..

1st is the hub specificly designed for an air bag set up? If not you may have to call Aspec for a their hub which works very well for this application{mine did}. This also comes with the small resistor to keep the AB light off.

Yes I'm using the Momo trek, I believe it's Aspecproducts.com, Speak to Logan.

Z1Performance also sells a couple of different hubs for our car. Here is a direct link: Steering Wheel Hub. Adam should be able to answer any question you have as well as he has installed quite a few aftermarket wheels.
