Chroming (AKA stripping) badges
Hey guys,
I know I've seen this done and I tried searching for the guy who did it to his Z, but how do you get the black paint off of the badges (Z ones on the side)? Anybody have any pictures? I'm pretty sure he said that he just used paint thinner on a rag and was careful not to get it on the paint but anybody had any experience with this? Thanks,
Fletch

Use any one of the following steps:
1. NAPA Carb/Choke/Throttle Cleaner...takes 2 seconds.
2. Gum out Carb & Choke Cleaner in an aerosol. Do not buy the Gumout Fuel Injection/Carbureator Cleaner.
3. Acetone or nail polish remover.
4. You can remove the black with a toothbrush while the badge is on the car...just be careful. Or...tape off the outside area, then use about 15 Q-tips & a cotton towel.
