thats pretty expensive for some wedge lights but if your just looking to get a nice blue color try searching for premiertek inc. there in lawrenceville ga. but they sell on ebay. I just picked up two pair for ten bucks, four led's on each bulb and replaced both sets in the front headlight assembly, they look great. With just the driving lights on it lights up the whole assembly.

I would never pay that money for them, I just thought they were cool. There were threads awhile back about all the problems w/ LEDs in headlights and I was thinking that there was no problems w/ the PIAAs. I may just get some of the 2 LEDs to stick in the headlights.

a little off topic, but will these be a direct replacement for the parking lights?

No ive never purchased from them just found them from the post above. Considering its an LED I will bet they will outlast the entire car itself, LED's dont really burn out since they are not technically a bulb and filament but a Light Emitting Diode and have a very very long life.

yes they are direct replacement for the 194 size bulb, and crossref for the 198 or something like that, can't remember the other crossref. They also sell red and amber, and led's for the interior dome light as well.

LEDs do indeed, but not all are created equal. Many members here have had burnout issues with LED wedge bulbs they bought online from small vendors. Consensus has been that many vendors either overdrive their LEDs or use cheap resistors, hence the burnout issue. PIAA LEDs in general seem to have lasted for folks, though.

I always hated PIAA bulbs. As I have used some of their bulbs on my honda before. And they would always burn out. And they are way over priced. This is just my opinion. You can get better LED's on ebay for a cheaper price.

My understanding is that poor construction and crappy materials result in a tendancy for the bulb to burnout in high temperature situations (such as the headlight housing). This is why the superlumination bulbs burn out.

PIAA is a good name, if they are real they should last a while I assume.
