Default Veilside Ver. 1 Rear Under Spoiler Install.

I've looked everwhere in this site and could not find a thread. But does anyone know if you have to drill hole to your existing rear bumper to instal a Veilside Ver. 1 Rear Under Spoiler.

No, you do not. It uses two existing bolts underneath, right behind each wheel well and the top edge is wrapped with 3m double sided tape. You can add a couple of small, self-tapping screws at the wheelwell edges, where there are pre-drilled holes in the lip, but they aren't really needed; it goes on pretty tight. I did have to use a little clear silicome adhesive in a few spots around the top edge to get it to stay in place, as the tape failed in a couple of spots, but once I got it on there good, it hasn't budged.

Thanx Man. What kind of silicone did you use? Hows the start button working?

I used a Dow Corning clear silicone RTV that a buddy gets for me from his work, but any clear silicone adhesive will work fine. I just waited until the tape let go in certain areas, then gently pulled it back there and used a little stick to put the silicone back there, pressed it in place, wiped away the excess and secured it with painter's tape overnight to cure.

Start button is working great!
