I know, I know,.......lol (about the GT wing).

The garage is not a problem. She's comfy and cozy with plenty of room to stretch her legs out.

I don't really see a copy coming out for this kit. I think it's kind've a love/hate kind've kit. For all the positive responses in this thread, I'm sure there are just as many if not more that hate it. LOL

Maybe they're being nice and not posting in this thread.....

Huge gap?

Are you referring to the hood not being shut completely in this pic? He was still buffing the rear.

Right now I'm leaning toward installing your V2 wing Jay (which obviously I have now) and saving up for the GT II wing from C-West in the future. That GT wing is around $2,200 shipped.

But I'm sure it's got to be one hell of a beautiful CF piece.

Yes we have a Datsun Roadster. It's a 1600 and not a 2000. I bought it for my wife as her birthday present. We have big plans for it. I'm still driving it, here it is, in the mid-70's for temps in late Dec. Not gonna start tearing her down until I locate an engine. I'm gonna be swapping in a SR20DE.

Just so my post was clear. I'm either installing the V2 wing (which has been sitting in my garage forever) or the C-West CF GT II wing:

Yeah, I doubt it as well but I had to throw that out there just to mess around haha . It is just one of those really aggressive kits that really suits an aggressive looking car. I'm usually not a fan of wings, but on this kit I would be.

This is really the only time I've ever considered the SBC wing.

That doesn't suprise me, it goes back in there forever. Whenever I go FI, I know it's gonna need some trimming. I can't wait to see it on your car, interested to see it in DB. The rear took me the most to get used to (in available pics on the intraweb), but now that it's on and seeing it in person, I love it just as much as the front and sides. I'm soooooooooo glad I listened to you.

Strapping it to the roof =

I'd love to see ya rolling down the blvd.

You know what I would like to see, is some Advan TCII or RS wheels on your car like those CWest Super Taikyu cars...

That would make me crap my pants. For now, I'm only just "higly impressed" bordering on "jealousy." WOW! Great look. Then again, I'm biased.

Just bought The Japanes "Z Magazine" 2006 Volume 2. Many Race cars use this bumper. I'll try to scan some pics when I have time...

Wow! That looks insane! Good job!

If you're going with a wing for that kit, definitely a GT type wing since it'll need to be just as aggressive looking as the rest of the car.

My only suggestion is for you to get some new wheels with VERY aggressive offsets so that it pushes out & will give your car a real aggressive/widebody type look to it. That or at least some spacers.

Looking at this pic looks like you have room to spare...

Yeah, while I was in Do-Luck hell, I began searching for pics. I wanted to be sure before I canceled my order. Really, the only pics I could find were those of the Super Taikyu race cars. Cheston and Matt have been a big help.

Lots of nice pics there.

It's really not that appealing in person. If I were you, I'd really not consider this kit.

I mean look, the guy that posted above you is already copying my style.

j/k Like I said, I'm sooooooooo glad things didn't work out with No-Luck. It looks like the two things from that kit that I love the most I'll be able to get anyway.....so it's really working out.

That's the tentative plan.......but that's version 3.0.

***I'll go ahead and spill what my plans are, no need to keep secrets. D@mn, I need someone to tell. The suspense is killing me.***

Currently, Version 1.0 is the full Long Nose kit.

Version 2.0 will be the above with either the V2 or GT II wing and the Do-Luck hood/with Nismo vents and Autotecknic CF mirrors. This will happen in 1-2 months. I have the V2 wing and the mirrors now, just gotta decide on the GT wing.

Version 3.0 will be the addition of the Do-Luck widebody fenders with all of the above. At that time the wheels will be addressed. My current rears in the pic you posted will move to the front and new rear wheels with an insane negative offset will be going in back.

So that's the exterior plan for my car as of now.

Now nobody do the same.......

lol

Robin,

Great pics, rants, etc...

IMO man, you won't be able to pull off the V2 wing. It's just now aggressive enuff. I know from our conversations in the past that you had really had your eye on the C-West wing. It's really going to be the only wing that's suitable for this. + you're keeping in the same aero fam too. My 2 yen..

Darren.

Give me a couple of weeks, and I'll decide. I know which way I'm leaning......

Here's a couple of pics. The original C-West pic with the CF GT II wing:

Then the pic photoshopped with the V2 wing:

Gotta agree, the V2 just isnt aggressive enough for that styling. The salad bar though is so freaking high. Ultra aggressive. Hurry up man, we all wanna see.

We have some amazing modders here. I hope one day I can contribute something unique.
