Default A dent, $500.00 to fix?????

I recently went to a Mall down in South Florida (I hate Christmas shopping for this reason) and I didn't even notice someone dented my car with a door. To be honest, I'm not sure when/where this took place.

So last Saturday while washing my car I found the dent right next to the Z emblem in the drivers side.

Today I went to see a body shop and the guy told me it's going to cost me $500.00 to fix that crap.

Is this normal?

Anyone knows a place in South Florida that will do an excellent job?

The worse part about these little things is that it's expensive to fix!

Thanks for the feedback.

It really depends how bad the dents are. Generally common door ding type dents can be removed for about $50 bucks each. But special case do arise. For example, My door was dented by this old lady in a Pontiac Grand AM. She was holding on to the door for support when she got out of the car. She hit my car so hard that you could see the metal. Luckly I was sitting in the car when it happened. It cost nearly $400.00 to repair that one "dent". I would shop around. There should be services also that'll come to your front door.
