You can have your 03 headlights painted. You just cant paint the bottom reflector part. There will be no diminish in light out if they are painted like this http://www.mrzipps.com/2004.Nissan.350z.Front.jpg As you can see the section below the projector needs to be left unpainted http://www.mrzipps.com/2004.Nissan.3...enger.Side.jpg

Not crazy about the blinker. What is that? A reflector of some sort?

Yes, i'll gaurantee. You don't like it, I'll give you your money back and redue them to your liking. But trust me, my iTrader rating should speak for itself, i've yet to have a complaint for any transaction i've done. This board has allowed me to transfer THOUSANDS (over 10k easy) of dollars around with other members and have yet to have one complaint. Lights or other wise. I'm also a member of a very well known Evo board of which i have many more solid iTrader ratings from painted headlights as well. I'll give you my phone number, my address, and my guarantee that you'll love and get what you pay for. All for $50. Simple as that. But again, this is NOT a hard process. Nobody should rape us on something so simple as painting headlights. Anyone who charges more is robing you unless they're trying to make a living off doing it. I agree that $50 is nothing with the time involved to do this the right way and can see why some would charge more, but i have money and am just doing you guys a service. Take it or leave it. That $50 goes into supplies and beer. That's it.

And because everyone is asking, the next set i do, i'll make sure to do a DETAILED write up of every step and differences for 03-05 and 06-up.

Also, i'd just like to add that i am in no way trying to ruin anyone's business or bash anyone. I'm here to help others like me. I have no secret, nothing to hide. You want to know how i do it, no problem. The lights i have seen from Mr. Zip do look amazing. He knows what he's doing, and has many more pics to prove that. As noted, i don't have as many pics as he, but again, i'm not doing this for profit and have no need to post pics of every light i paint. If i wanted to make a little side cash, sure, i'd snap a pic of every headlight from every angle to show my quality, but i'm not here for that. I hope this makes sence??

That looks great; would like to do that if only I could change my '03 hid headlight cover (housing) - the plastic is scratched on top but the inside is clean

+1111 for Subrwho. Those are my headlights that he posted that are blacked out on the previous page. He did an excellent job. I couldn't even tell where the lights had been opened or pryed apart. They looked factory still. I emailed pics of exactly what I wanted and he delivered 100%. Do not be wary about his work. DO IT. You won't find a better price ANYWHERE. And he told me the same thing, any probs at all, and he'll fix it free of charge.

Thanks again man! Extremely pleased. Will post pics in a few weeks once car is done!

^^ No problem both of you.

STEPUCKEY- Hurry up and post those pics! Glad you were so pleased with your lights. What are you doing to your car anyway?

REDSOXFAN- Again, if you have any question at all about doing those lights yourself, call me. It's really very simple. It's kinda tricky getting those HID's back in, so remember how you pull them out. Also, if you paint that silver HID housing that everyone likes to leave stock on the 06's, send me a shout. I'll walk you through that as well. Including the type of glue you'll need to put that back together that can with stand the oven temps resealing the whole thing back together. My write up will explain (with pics) how to do this next week.

i dont have a z yet..hoping to get one this year..but i deff. want a either a black one, white one, or dark gray. and the headlights will match the car color(i dont really like the look of a white z with black headlights) i dont think i will have the patience to do this. i dont think i would even want to take the car apart to get the headlights out fearing i would never get it back together. if i sent them to you, would it be $50 shipped both ways, or $50 to do it, and pay for shipping both ways. also i read that the 06 are the only ones w/ real projectors. i can get them for $185 ea. but thats crazy..but i do want the whole thing painted, while still being able to use the highs. also, could you take the yellow strip out and put a clear one in?

$50 plus shipping both ways. And yes, the 06's are dual projection unlike previous years. I use 04's 100% blacked out and have lost all use of my high beams. I, like many others, don't use high beams much and don't care if they work or not. They do reflect off road signs and animals eyes though (I still turn them on when i'm out on the open road). Did you mean to say you can get 06's for $185 each? Please PM me with that info. I'd buy 10 sets right now if i could find them THAT cheap. Also, the strips can be taken out no sweat, but you'd have to provide the clear ones. I don't even know where to find those (ebay?)?
