Does anybody have any information on how to remove the door panel on a 2006 as it is different than the 2005 and earlier. I got a KP module to install and don't want to damage anything. I have checked but can't find anything for the 2006, and have found that others want to know how to do it also. Please help or see if you can find the information as I couldn't.

Drivers Side ---
You have to remove the switch panel from the driver side door first by pulling up on it as it is held in place by some clips. You may have to pry something gently underneath the edge so you can get your fingers under it to pull. It does take a little force to remove it -- don't use tools as they may damage it. I put a cloth under the edge before pulling hard on it to save my fingers and prevent damage.
Once it is out you can disconnect the wiring. You will see a couple of bolts (10mm)... actually one bolt and one screw -- remove these and remember their places.
The last screw that holds the door is more difficult to remove. It is located behind the door latch pull handle. Pull on the handle to expose a black slotted plastic plate behind it. This pops out quite easily. When you look into the spot where this plate was, you will see inside another 10mm screw -- remove this and be careful not to drop inside the door as it is a pain to retreive.
Once all three bolts/screws have been removed, you will need to pull firmly on the door at the bottom of the panel to release it from the plastic clips. If I remember correctly there are a total of 6 clips.
Once the door is free from the clips you need to push it upwards to unhook it from the top of the door.
Unplug the remaining wiring and disconnect the two door lock/latch cables from the door pull assembly.
It should now be free to remove totally.

Passenger Side ---
On the door pull handle you will need to remove the aluminum trim piece. You should use something that won't damage it like a thin bladed screwdriver with tape on the blade. Once this is pried off you will see two bolts (10mm)... actually one long bolt and one screw (remember their places).
The switch assembly pops out like the drivers side door. Once it is out you can disconnect the wiring. I don't recall aany screws behind this assembly as it has been 6 months since I did this removal, but I'm going to remove it again this weekend and edit this post if needed.
The last screw is located behind the lock/latch pull handle as per the drivers side.
As above, you can now pull on the panel from the bottom to unclip it from the door, unhook it, disconnect the lock/latch cables, and disconnect remaining wiring.

Just a few notes...
1. For the record, the 06 manual doesn't accurately show the correct positions of the screws to be removed -- I had to learn by trying
2. Be careful of the plastic clips as they can pop out of their holders and go astray, and be damaged easily.
3. Be careful not to over-tighten the screws/bolts as they thread into a plastic grommet which is easily stripped.
