I have a local body shop that want to use my car as one of their show cars. They want to put on a NISMO body kit, but there is a wierd story behind the kit. I don't know the shop, so I wanted to try to verify their story.

They claim that the factory that makes the NISMO kits is located in Canada, and that they are have decided to sell the NISMO kits without the NISMO stamp for less money. Its the same kit from the same production line, just without the logo.

I told them about that Canadian company that is making questionable quality knock offs. They said that they were aware of that company but that this kit was not from them and again reassured me that the kit is from the same company that makes the official NISMO kits.

Now, they are offering a really good price, and they seem like a competent group, but this story bothers me a bit.

Can anyone confirm or refute this story?

 

nismo kits are made in japan. there are a few companies in canada that make replica nismo body kits. please PM me with the company name and i'll tell you if this is one of them. but, as i said, the real nismo body kits are made in japan.

 

yep, the real nismo parts are made in Japan. The Canadian company is probably justs making Nismo styled kits.

 

ALL NISMO KIT IS MADE IN JAPAN. The one made in Canada is actually a replica.
