I impulsively got my windows tinted today, and remembered on the way home that i had the window grease streak problem still. I planned on fixing this in the next week or so. I'm not sure what type of grease they use from the factory, but does anyone expect that it will "eat" the tint?? Thanks!

tint was one of the first things I got done, and have had it on since. no problems whatsoever. It is very high quality tint tho, not a cheapo/pepboys job.

 

I have the Gila Xtreme Mirror film from Advance Auto Parts. I Don't think it's exactly "high quality" but I haven't had any problems. Only been on 4 months though.

 

well, theres the answer then, doesn't matter where you get the tint from - the grease streaks won't hurt it

 

The previous owner of my Z has had both tinted windows and the grease streak problem since 2003, or so she claims. No problem with the tint whatsoever to this day, in 2007. High quality film though. I'm sure the cheaper films would have some issues... Just my .02.
